Founder & Principal Consultant
I’m Kevin Marrs, PhD, MSc, PMP — a research program manager, strategist, and consultant dedicated to helping organizations move ideas forward.
When I started Translational Pathways, my vision was simple: help innovators bridge the gap between groundbreaking science and real-world impact. Too many promising technologies stall in the “valley of death” between research and commercialization.
I’ve guided technologies through the Navy and Army SBIR/STTR programs, combining technical expertise with practical strategy to help innovators navigate complexity and move forward with clarity.
My background blends scientific expertise with operational experience:
PhD in Cellular, Molecular, and Systems Physiology, earned through a U.S. Navy Health Services Collegiate Program (HSCP) scholarship.
Navy Service: Deployed aboard the hospital ship USNS Comfort as a Surface Warfare Medical Department Officer (SWMDO).
DoD Research: Supported an FDA clinical trial for mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).
My mission remains the same today: to bridge the gap—by combining technical expertise, strategic insight, and a commitment to results.
